ACADEMY MUSEUM COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS
Inaugural curator of the Academy Museum collection of motion picture artifacts; charged with setting the course and vision for the development of the collection, and the creation of a range of museum exhibitions, collection installations, and interpretive initiatives, including educational programming and publications. Directed the acquisitions process, and oversaw the growth of the Collection, which was conceived to serve as the foundation for the Museum’s public exhibition program. Cultivated Academy Members, donors, lenders, institutional and film studio relationships; collaborated closely with other Museum curators on exhibition development and installation; managed collections review, de-accession, restoration and other projects in association with collections management team. Many of the key foundational objects on view, and significant depth in the Collection, are a direct result of specific acquisitions managed.
